Creamy Strawberry Mocktail (Dairy-Free)

Made with healthier sweeteners and oat milk, this creamy strawberry mocktail has notes of caramel and plenty of berry flavor.  Consider it a healthy dessert option or just-sweet-enough drink that can be garnished with a touch of chocolate or a chocolate-dipped cookie for extra dessert vibes. While the drink recipe contains no dairy, check the ingredients on these as well before serving.

Since oat milk already has a mild toasty flavor, it takes on a caramel-like quality when combined with pitted dates and a touch of honey.  Blend in a few frozen strawberries, and you have a dairy-free mocktail recipe that easily can satisfy the craving for ice cream or a richer option. The perfect thickness encourages you to nestle in a garnish and sip slowly, though it’s simple to blend another one if you enjoy the first a little too quickly.

Ingredients

Per Drink

⅔ cup oat milk
2 pitted dates
2 teaspoons honey
4 whole frozen strawberries

The gorgeous color of this drink makes it perfect for sharing with friends who want a festive, non-alcoholic option.  The texture is similar yet a bit creamier than a smoothie. Serve it in a martini glass with a beautiful garnish, and everyone will enjoy the thoughtful presentation. Scale up the recipe based on how many you are serving.

When following this strawberry mocktail recipe, combine the dates, honey, and oat milk first, so the blender breaks down the dates before the addition of fruit.  Make sure the dates are pitted and soft, as this will result in the creamiest texture.  Adding the strawberries last means they will be processed for less time, so they retain their frostiness and chill each drink.  No ice required.

How to Make the Strawberry Mocktail

Combine oat milk, dates, and honey in a blender and process until as smooth as possible.  If some very small pieces of date may remain, this is fine.  Add the frozen strawberries and blend until smooth.

Garnish as desired and serve immediately.
