Mindful Living | Autumn

Summer heated us from without, decking us in sunlight when it wasn’t shaking the leaves in our garden with rain. Possibly you were barefoot more than usual in sand and picnic grass. Everything was alive, and it invited us to bask in what called to us most. Now that autumn is here, we are asked to light that fire from within. As the felt heat dissipates, we return to our inner spark.

When the seasons change, we take what we loved and transform it to suit the new reality, this being earlier nightfall and cooler days ahead. It means learning to find beauty in the dark and discovering what warms you when the light feels more distant. If something no longer suits you, there is an invitation to let it go. Bare trees are full of potential.

For those who found something meaningful to hold, remember that many of the flowers that dotted our yards are only sleeping. Autumn is just a lullaby. We make of the time what suits us this year.

As autumn calls us inward, I invite you to take one of my private meditation sessions designed to rejuvenate your inner spark. When we engage in restorative practices, we feel calmer and more peaceful, allowing the warmth within us to expand. Rooted in mindfulness, the study of happiness, and our innate connection to nature, these approachable sessions are designed to help you unite with the present moment and reconnect with yourself.
